At the same time, on Friday, Football Delhi has said that it will organize a Capital Cup and teams of Indian Super League (ISL) and I-League will be invited to participate in it. It was decided to start the Capital Cup in Delhi in a meeting of Football Delhi Executive Committee held on Thursday through video conferencing.

Delhi Football said in a statement that it would request the All India Football Federation (AIFF) to set a suitable window for organizing this All India tournament in Delhi. In this, at least four teams of ISL-ILIG will be invited to play. Apart from this, four local clubs of Delhi will be able to participate in it. The chairman of Football Delhi, Shaji Prabhakaran has said, "The Capital Cup is an attempt to revive the Ambedkar Stadium and the city's football heritage. Through the Capital Cup we want to promote local football and provide football lovers with a tournament "The best clubs and players will be seen playing."

On the other hand, if we talk about Corona infected data, according to the data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, in the last 24 hours a record 7,466 new cases have been reported and 175 people have died. After this the total number of corona positive cases across the country has increased to 1,65,799, of which 89,987 are active cases, 71,106 people have been cured or discharged from hospital and 4,706 people have died so far. At the same time, 178 new cases have been registered in Karnataka, 178 in Uttarakhand, 91 in Rajasthan, 63 in Odisha, 30 in Assam.
