In Mexico, first division matches will be played from July 24, after football contests are closed for four months due to the Coronavirus, but spectators will not be allowed to come to the stadium during this time. The MX League said on Wednesday that the new season will start from July 24 and will run until December 12.

There will be 12 teams participating in the league, out of which the top four teams will qualify automatically while the remaining eight teams will have to play in the knockout rounds to qualify. League president Enrique Bonilla said that it is not sure when the spectators will be allowed to come to the stadium. At the same time, Bonilla has also been infected with the Corona virus. So far, a total of 124,301 cases of corona virus have been found in Mexico, of which 14,696 have died. So far, 33 players from the first division have been tested positive.
