Former captain of the Indian team Rahul Dravid has said that until the coronavirus vaccine is introduced, cricket will be different from what fans and stakeholders are accustomed to. Dravid said on the Facebook page, "Until the vaccine comes and we are not confident about the whole world. I am not a medical professional, but from what I have heard, the virus is not going to go away for a long time, but a time will come when we will be able to deal with it better."

Dravid said, "Till then cricket is going to be very different. I think cricket is a reflection of life in many ways, that's why I am not able to watch it without being impressed". Dravid said that the way the game is played, everything from celebrations to dressing room methods is going to be affected. A three-match Test series is to be played next month between England and the West Indies. This series will be played in a BioSecure environment."

Dravid said about this, "This series will prove to be a good test. It will be interesting to see what happens in a month's time. Hopefully, it goes ahead and those people can play with safety. This will give us an example of how things can happen. Due to Covid-19, the ICC has also implemented new rules and one of them is to ban saliva to shine the ball. A lot of people are saying that if you use sweat in it will do the same thing as saliva. So you are not stopped from shining the ball. Medical people have said that the virus will not reach through sweat".
