Lucknow: A man hacked his father to death with an axe for a bigha of land in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur. The accused fled from the spot after the incident. The incident took place in Dhiara village under the Jalalabad area. Police have formed two teams to nab the killer.

According to the report, Sharif Khan was sitting on a cot in his field. Meanwhile, son Bashir reached there and crossed over the head with an axe and killed his father. After some time, when the family got information about the murder of the elderly Sharif Khan, there was chaos. People gathered nearby. On receiving the information, Jalalabad CO Massa Singh and Station House Officer Praveen Solanki reached the spot and started investigating. After this, sharif khan's body was taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. At the same time, Amir Khan, grandson of the deceased Sharif Khan, complained to the police that the grandfather had acquired one bigha of land in the name of his mother Reshma. About which uncle Bashir Khan was angry.

According to the grandson's complaint, grandfather and uncle had quarrelled several times over land. on Thursday afternoon when grandfather was sitting in the field. Seeing the opportunity, uncle Bashir killed his grandfather by hitting him with an axe. Station House Officer Praveen Solanki has informed that grandson Amir Khan has given a complaint in connection with the murder of Sharif Khan. On the basis of the information, a case of murder has been registered against Bashir Khan. Two teams have been formed to nab the accused.
