Gonda: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) veteran and former MP Satyadev Singh died on Wednesday night in a hospital in Gurugram. He was 75 years old. He has two sons and three daughters in his family. Earlier, his wife and former District Panchayat President Saroj Rani Singh also died at PGI Lucknow on December 5. Senior BJP leaders including CM Yogi Adityanath have deeply mourned the death of former MP Satyadev Singh.

Family sources said that Singh, his wife and son were found coronavirus positive a few days ago. After this, he was admitted to the hospital in Lucknow. His wife died during treatment on December 5, He said that Singh was found to be infection-free in a test conducted later, but due to ill health, he was admitted to a private hospital in Gurugram for better treatment.

Sources said that there was a slight improvement in the health of Satyadev Singh, but as soon as he got the news of his wife's death on Wednesday, he suffered a heart attack and breathed his last at the hospital at around 10 pm. His body is being brought to Lucknow, where he will be kept for his last visit at his home. After this, he will be cremated in Lucknow today at four o'clock.
