Jammu: Amidst the countrywide buzz of the film The Kashmir Files, former DGP of Jammu and Kashmir Police, SP Vaid has made a shocking revelation. He has said that even today, there are many people in this country who do not know the truth about Kashmir till now. Vaid has spoken about the fact that the first group of 70 terrorists trained by Pakistan's ISI for terrorism in Kashmir were taken into custody by the Jammu and Kashmir Police. No one knew about that there. At that time, due to political pressure, an order was issued to release these terrorists. Later, many of these terrorists became the leaders of terrorist organizations in Kashmir.

Vaid has also made the names of some terrorists public with this claim on his Twitter handle. In the tweet, Vaid also included the names of Mohammad Afzal Sheikh, Rafiq Ahmad Ahangar, Mohammad Ayub Najar, Farooq Ahmad Ganei, Ghulam Mohammad Gujri, Farooq Ahmad Malik, Nazir Ahmad Sheikh and Ghulam Mohiuddin in the list.

Vaid has also written whether all this was possible without the notice of the government in 1989. In 1989, Vaid was posted as SP in Kashmir's Budgam. After which in 1990, he was posted as SSP in the same district. Vaid also watched that period of terrorism very closely while in Kashmir.   Going ahead, Vaid said that the terrorist Bitta Karate had confessed to the killing of around 20 people during police interrogation, but the confession made before the police was not accepted in the court. No one had given any evidence against him later
