NEW DELHI: Former Finance Minister and senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley remains in a critical condition, which has put him on a life support system at Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Leaders of political parties were on the move throughout the day on Saturday to see Jaitley admitted to AIIMS.
According to the report, Arun Jaitley said that he has been placed in the Extra-Corporation Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). The ECMO keeps patients whose lungs and heart are unable to work properly. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar had also reached AIIMS to find out Jaitley's condition. Union Minister Piyush Goyal also reached AIIMS to find out about Jaitley's health.
Besides, Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik, Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Congress General Secretary Jyotiraditya Scindia also reached AIIMS to learn about Jaitley's health. Earlier on Friday night, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath had reached AIIMS to meet Jaitley. Arun Jaitley's kidney transplant last year, after which he had made a political outright.
