NEW DELHI: Senior BJP leader L.K.Advani along with his daughter Pratibha Advani arrived at AIIMS on Monday to find out the fate of former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. Apart from Advani, several leaders including Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandi Ben Patel and Bihar Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi reached AIIMS to find out the fate of former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

It is worth mentioning here that the condition of former Finance Minister and senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley, who was admitted to Delhi's AIIMS, is said to be very critical. At present, they have been put on life support system. According to AIIMS sources, the former finance minister is currently placed on the Extroporporial Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) support at the Cardio-Neuro Centre.

The patient is kept on ECMO when the heart, lungs do not work properly and the ventilator is also not benefited. Oxygen is transported to the patient's body through ECMO. Arun Jaitley had a kidney transplant in May last year.  However, the situation remains suspicious as a medical bulletin has not yet been issued by AIIMS on Arun Jaitley's condition.
