Hyderabad: Former minister T Harish Rao today said voting percentage should increase in the LS polls. Addressing TRS party workers’ meeting at Siddipet for MP Candidate Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, Harish Rao said people should vote for welfare and development in Telangana. T Harish Rao said a vote to Congress would mean a vote down the drain. Vote to BJP would hardly mean anything good for the State. The Minister said women of the constituency, who were getting potable water at their doorstep under Mission Bhagiratha scheme, would never have a second thought in voting for Chandrasekhar Rao. He said the constituency had witnessed development on all fronts in the past four-and-half years.

Saying that the BJP-led NDA government could not even grant a single rupee for Kaleshwaram Project despite repeated appeals, the former Minister said the TRS MPs would play a key role in forming the government this time since neither NDA nor Congress would get the required majority. If TRS wins 16 seats, he said Telangana would stand a chance to get national project status for Kaleshwaram. All the 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana will go to polls in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections on April 11. The results will be declared on May 23.
