Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar claims that he refused to take the offer of agreement with the county to participate in the Kargil war. Shoaib said that he was being offered 1 lakh 75 thousand pounds from the English county Nottinghamshire, which he turned down. In the Kargil war fought at a height of 16 thousand feet, 1 thousand Pak soldiers lost their lives. While 527 Indian soldiers were martyred.

Talking to the media, Shoaib Akhtar said that hardly people know about this. I had an offer of 1 lakh 75 thousand pound agreement from Nottingham. After which there was a big contract in 2002. The former Pakistan fast bowler said that I had rejected both offers.

Shoaib said that I am on the outer border of Lahore. Then a general told me what I am doing here. After which I said that the war is about to start and we will give our lives together. Shoaib said that I turned down the county's proposal twice. The county was also surprised by this. But I was not worried. I called my friend in Kashmir and said that I am ready to fight.
