NEW DELHI: Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, along with his sons HD Kumaraswamy and HD Revanna, had a significant meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence in New Delhi on Thursday.

Expressing his pleasure at the meeting, PM Modi praised Deve Gowda for his remarkable contributions to the nation's progress and commended his forward-thinking insights on various policy matters.

"Meeting former PM Shri @H_D_Devegowda Ji, Shri @hd_kumaraswamy Ji, and Shri HD Revanna Ji is always a pleasure. India truly values Deve Gowda Ji's outstanding contributions to the nation's development. His perspectives on diverse policy issues are perceptive and forward-looking," Modi affirmed.

Accompanying Deve Gowda was his grandson and Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, along with members of the JDS party.

This meeting holds significance as the BJP and JDS had previously announced a pre-poll alliance leading up to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections scheduled for next year.
