New Delhi: There has been no improvement in the health status of former President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday (22 August) and he is still on life support system. This information has been given by the Army Research and Referral Hospital at Delhi Cantonment. Mukherjee was admitted to the hospital on August 10 and underwent brain surgery.

According to the latest update, there was no change in the health of former President Pranab Mukherjee this morning. He is in a coma and is being treated for respiratory infections. His main parameters are constant and he is still on ventilator support. Coronavirus infection was also confirmed in Pranab Mukherjee's investigation. After this, he got an infection in his lungs, which is continuing treatment. A team of doctors in the hospital is constantly monitoring his health.

Earlier in the day, a statement issued by the hospital said that Pranab Mukherjee's medical condition remains the same. He is being treated for infection in his lungs and is placed on a ventilator. His major health standards are being monitored and his heart functioning is stable. Mukherjee was the President of India from 2012 to 2017.
