Political Journey: Let us tell you that Atal Ji, born on December 25, 1924, in Gwalior, has had a keen interest in political activities since his student life. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who studied politics under Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, is said to be one of the founding members of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh. For the first time, in 1957, he was elected to the Lok Sabha from Balrampur on a Jansangh ticket. The biggest opportunity for Atal Ji came when Morarji Desai's government was formed in 1977 after the Emergency. Morarji became the Prime Minister in the Janata Party government, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee was also made the Foreign Minister. As Foreign Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the first person to address the United Nations General Assembly in Hindi and increase India's prestige in the whole world.

Establishment of the BJP: Reports say that after the breakup of the Janata Party in 1980, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, along with LK Advani and some associates, formed the BJP. He became the first national president of the BJP. Atal Ji was the president of the party from 1980 to 1986. For the first time, a non-Congress government completed its term. In the 1996 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP became the single largest party by winning 161 seats. Atal Bihari Vajpayee became the country's PM for the first time. However, his government lasted only for 13 days. In 1998, the people of the country once again reposed faith in Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and the BJP became the largest party by winning 182 seats. Atal Ji became the PM of the country for the second time. Under his leadership, the BJP-led NDA alliance has also formed the government at the center. This government lasted for 13 months. In the 1999 elections to the 13th Lok Sabha, the BJP became the single largest party for the third time in a row. The NDA government was once again formed under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Only after this election did Atal Bihari Vajpayee get a chance to complete his 5-year tenure as prime minister. Under the leadership of Atal Ji, for the first time, a non-Congress government at the Center completed its five-year term.
