Faridkot: A case of suicide by a man with his wife and 2 children has been reported in village Kaler in Faridkot district of Punjab. The deceased was originally identified as a 40-year-old Dharam Pal, a district Sikar resident of Rajasthan, who was living with his wife Seema, daughter Monica and son Hatish Kumar in village Kaler for the past 10 years. Dharam Pal worked in a brick brewery on the Dhubri road.
The police have also found a suicide note amidst the preliminary enquiry, in which it has been described himself responsible for taking this step as well as a person named Shanti associated with the business of brick brewery. The police now on the basis of this information investigating the case. The people of village Kaler said that the family has lived here for the past several years and was disturbed by the impact of the business due to lockdown.
It is learned that this morning the villagers saw that smoke was coming out of his house and no sound come out of the house. Immediately, the villagers went to see and broke the door of the house, and all the members of the family were badly scorched by the fire. As soon as the incident was reported, senior officers of the district police rushed to the spot and started an investigation. In this case, DSP Satvinder Singh Vik said that the police is examining the entire matter closely and whatever facts come out, it is going to be examined.
