Mumbai: Corona virus, a global epidemic of dangerous form in Maharashtra, is wreaking havoc on officers and soldiers of Mumbai Police. The Assistant Police Inspector posted at the police station in Vinoba Bhave Nagar in Mumbai has died due to corona virus. With this, the number of policemen who died of corona infection in Mumbai has increased to 4.

Police personnel acting as frontline warriors in the fight against Corona in Maharashtra are constantly becoming victims of Corona. So far, 786 police officers and corona officers of the police department have been infected in Maharashtra. Of these, 88 officers and 698 policemen are involved. An Assistant Inspector posted at Vinoba Bhave Nagar Police Station in Mumbai has died. He was infected with the corona virus and was undergoing treatment for a few days.

350 personnel and officers of Mumbai Police have been found corona positive. Policemen are constantly getting infected due to field duty. So far, 7 Maharashtra Police personnel have lost their lives due to corona infection. There are 4 from Mumbai, while one each from Pune, Solapur and Nashik rural.
