France and UAE Committed to Clean Energy Transition Says Trade Minister

Dubai: According to a report on Friday by Emirates News Agency, French Foreign Trade Minister Olivier Becht stated that France and the UAE have a similar vision for accelerating the switch to green energy to combat the risks posed by climate change.

Becht said that the UAE will be able to host COP28 in November and that the two nations are working together to develop low-carbon energy solutions. 

He continued by saying that the rest of the world respects the UAE's leadership in the fight against climate change.

The environmental difficulties we face push us to act with greater bravery and dedication in order to hasten the energy transition, according to Becht.

To produce clean energy, which is the future of the industry, the UAE and France have numerous joint projects in many different fields, including hydrogen and nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.

The minister noted the close ties between France and the UAE and said he planned to travel there soon to discuss ways to deepen and broaden their economic cooperation.
