New Delhi: Mediapart, a French online magazine, has made a big claim over the Rafale fighter jet deal. Publishing fake invoices, the magazine claimed that Dassault Aviation, a French rafale maker, had bribed Indian middleman Sushen Gupta for about Rs 65 crore (€7.5 million) to get the deal done and was also known to CBI and ED, but did not take any action.

According to Mediapart, the alleged fake challans enabled Gupta to pay at least 7.5 million euros, or about Rs 65 crore, to help French aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation secure a deal for 36 Rafale fighter jets with India. However, even after the present of these documents, Indian agencies did not show interest in the matter and did not initiate an inquiry.
