New Delhi:- Franco Morbidelli will lose his seat at Yamaha next season, but has set a deadline to decide on a new role. Morbidelli is expected to be replaced by Alex Rins, with the long-awaited major driver change set for 2024.

According to the Gazzetta report, Yamaha has offered Morbidelli an official World SBK RM1 seat for next season. 'Agreement found' between Alex Rins and Yamaha – but one hurdle still to clear and Valentino Rossi and Marco Bezzecchi got her wish. Ducati agrees to important demands

But Morbidelli "wants to continue racing in MotoGP" and has "so far declined the offer," the report said. He has only a few days left to give a final answer as to whether he will accept the lifeline Yamaha offers.

"He will have to have an answer by the weekend at Silverstone," he said. MotoGP returns to Silverstone next weekend on August 6th. Morbidelli's apparent plan B to stay in MotoGP next season was a move to the Mooney VR46 team he knew well after graduating from the VR46 Academy.

However, that option is gone now that Marco Bezzecchi has opted to remain in Luca Marini's squad until 2024. Right now, there are only two open positions that Morbidelli can jump into. Without Fabio Di Giannantonio, Gresini Racing will likely have a vacant seat.

But Moto2 star Tony Arbolino (backed by veteran coach Carlo Pernat) is also a candidate for Gresini.

Rins' move to Yamaha will open up a slot at LCR Honda, giving Morbidelli the chance to move directly. 

The Yamaha racing Team at the MotoGP contest is now setting to take out Franco Morbidelli for next season but he has some more plans to sustain for the season.

The next plan of Franco is to get into another Team for the upcoming MotoGP Season by getting into or getting graduated from VR46 Academy and getting into the Mooney VR46 Racing Team.
