Speaking to the media, freedom fighter Suman Bang, who lives in Wardha, Maharashtra, recalled memories of the freedom movement. At the age of 95, Suman has forgotten a lot. Suman Bang says, "When country got independence from British rule in 1947, I was quite young at that time. At that time everyone dreamed of progress for the country." Taking a dig at today's politics, she said that in today's era, a politician is like a hungry person. Seeing the food, it gets hungry and breaks on it. In the same way, the leaders of tomorrow have power hunger, to which they can go to any extent. She has said that the country did not get independence but we fought for independence. But everything changed after the country got independence. There was a politics of selfishness in the country.

Talking about the freedom movement, Suman has informed that my husband Thakurdas Bang fought for the independence of the country. Police take him to jail and killed. He has said that after independence, the expectation from the country was not fulfilled but politics spoiled everything.
