Paris:German tennis player Alexander Zverev defeat Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov on Tuesday in the fourth round of the French Open. In the quarterfinals, Tomas Martin Etcheverry will square off against Alexander Zverev.

Grigor Dimitrov was upset by the 26-year-old Hamburg, Germany native 6-1, 6-4, and 6-3.

Alexander Zverev, the No. 22 seed, advanced to his seventh Grand Slam quarterfinal overall and fifth at Roland-Garros with the victory against the Bulgarian.

The first set was dominated by Alexander Zverev. Grigor Dimitrov had problems with his offensive shots. Grigor Dimitrov, 32, only succeeded in winning one point in the opening set. 6-1 was the final score after the first quarter.Grigor Dimitrov improved in the second set and battled Zverev valiantly, but he was ultimately unable to prevail. The second set was again won by Alexander Zverev, who kept up his momentum and continued to play aggressively. At the completion of the second quarter, the score was 6-4.

Alexander Zverev took the early lead in the third set and quickly reached a 3-0 score. The match appeared to be over in the final set, but Grigor Dimitrov shown grit and refused to let it. He concluded by saying, "They put me in the appropriate frame of mind. My rehabilitation took six months, during which time I was unable to walk or play tennis. It's amazing to be back at this level.
