Siddharth Malhotra is born in a middle-class in the family in Delhi.

Siddharth started his career as a model at the age of 18. He wanted to pursue a career in acting. Siddharth auditioned for Anubhav Sinha's film but the film never made. After this  Madhur Bhandarkar offered him role in Priyanka Chopra's opposite in the 2008 film Fashion, however, he did not do the film due to his modeling career.

Siddharth was not very good at studies and his family felt that he would not be able to do anything in the future. He said that he was very weak in studies during his school days. Siddharth's father also felt that he will not do anything in his life and was worried about his son.
