One of the renowned Screenwriters in Bollywood Sanjay Chouhan died of chronic liver illness at the H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre, on Thursday. The screenwriter penned various critically-acclaimed films like  2011 film I Am Kalam.

As per the information He was 62 year old. He was admitted at the hospital since ten days. He has written various incredible scripts of films like Dhoop and Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Maara,Paan Singh Tomar, Saheb Biwi Gangster and Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns with Tigmanshu Dhulia. His last rites will be performed at Mumbai's Oshiwara crematorium at 12.30 p.m. on Friday. The writer is survived by his wife Sarita and daughter Sara. 

Sanjay Chouhan was born and brought up in Bhopal. He started his career as a journalist in Delhi. Later, he moved to Mumbai and wrote the crime TV series Bhanwar in late 1990s. Sanjay Chouhan has worked in the 2012 film Paan Singh Tomar remains his most notable work which received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film and won late actor Irrfan the National Film Award for Best Actor.

He has also worked in I Am Kalam also won several awards at various international and national award shows and film festivals. The film won child actor Harsh mayor the National Film Award for Best Child Artist. Sanjay won an award for Best Story for his film I Am Kalam (2011). Some other notable works in his credit are Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Maara and Dhoop as well as the dialogue for Sudhir Mishra's 2003 film Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi.
