Neelkanth Krishnaji Phule aka Nilu Bhau Phule, who made his acting debut in theatre, may not be known to anyone today, but he has been a strong actor from the beginning. Nilu Phule started her film career with the 1968 movie 'Ek Gaon Bara Bhangadi,' a Marathi movie after which he never looked back.

He worked extensively in Marathi and Hindi movies side by side, including those like Pinjra (1972), Saamana (1975), Jait Re Jait (1977), Don Baika Phajeeti Aika (1982), Woh 7 Din (1982), Coolie (1983), Mashal (1984) and Saaransh (1984).

In his last days of movies, Nilu Phule had become a grey shade actor. In the meantime, he was well-liked by the audience. While on the one hand, the actors of that era used to depict their fear on-screen with screaming dialogues, but on the contrary, Nilu Phule's silence created fear on the screen. His mere presence on the screen also spoke his point. His momentary silence created a sensation in the body of the audience.

Nilu Phule, who worked as a gardener at the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune at the age of 17, was donating Rs 10 out of his monthly salary of Eighty rupees to the National Service Group. In this movie of 2009, Phule played a great role. But three months after the release of this movie, he died at the age of 79. Nilu Phule played most of the roles of feudal, landlord, leader, etc. His nature has been completely socially servent, but he used to scare children and women very much, he is often seen in his speeches to us.
