Ministry of Tourism approves classification of hotels by 30 June: Amid the lockdown, the Ministry of Tourism has extended the deadline for classification of hotels and other living units till 30 June. The ministry classifies hotels under the star rating system according to the standards required for different classes of tourists. It is also being said that the certification is valid for a period of five years. Not only this, the ministry said in a statement that the hospitality industry has been badly affected by the Covid-19 epidemic and lockdown. In view of the current situation, the time limit for their classification has been extended.
