INDORE: The first meeting of Agriculture Deputies under India's G20 presidency is being held from February 13 -15 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The meeting is set to discuss host of issues, including climate-smart initiatives in the farm sector.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is all set to inaugurate an exhibition at 1.00 pm where millets and its value-added food products along with stalls related to animal husbandry and fisheries will be a major attraction.
The three-day conference, which ends on February 15, will go into great detail on topics like wheat efforts, agriculture risk management, and reducing food loss, as well as climate smart initiatives and small farmers' adoption of climate smart technology.
On the second day, Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Union Minister of Civil Aviation, would be present.
Through a heritage walk to Rajwada Palace and an excursion to Mandu Fort in Madhya Pradesh, the participants will have the opportunity to learn about the rich history of India throughout the event.
The second day will feature a general discussion between the participating members and foreign organisations with the Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya Scindia, in attendance.
The discussion of the main AWG deliverables will take place on the third day. According to the announcement, there will be a technical meeting with talks and involvement from all parties involved, including international organisations.
Delegates will have the opportunity to learn about the rich Indian history during the event through excursions to Mandu Fort and Rajwada Palace. A sample of Indian cuisine and culture would be offered through gala dinners and cultural events, it was said.
