Indian skipper "The run-machine" Virat Kohli had a sensational tour of South Africa both as a captain and as a batsman but the Indian skipper missed the third and final Twenty20 International that India won to clinch the three-match series 2-1. Virat Kohli was sidelined due to a stiff back with Rohit Sharma taking charge of the team in his absence but that didn't stop him from pitching in whenever the team needed him. The Indian skipper was spotted giving a head massage to teammate and India opener Shikhar Dhawan during the final T20I at Newlands in Cape Town.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli scored impressive 286 runs in the Test series to finish ahead of AB de Villiers, who had 211 runs. Kohli was head and shoulders above everyone in the ODIs with India dominating the series 5-1. The Indian skipper scored a record 558 runs in six matches at an average of 186. Second in the list was none other than Dhawan, who scored 323 runs at an average of 64.60.

India ended the bilateral series on a high after location up a thrilling seven run win in the third T20 International for a 2-1 result. The visitors had also recorded a dominating 5-1 win series win in the one-dayers. "We don't want to be too greedy and we are happy with these two trophies. Hopefully next time we will win all the three trophies," said Bhuvneshwar after the match.
