New Delhi: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari Inaugurates 11 National Highway Projects Worth Rs. 5,600 Crore in Pratapgarh, Rajasthan.
In a momentous ceremony held in Pratapgarh, Rajasthan, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, unveiled and laid the foundation stone for an impressive array of 11 national highway (NH) projects, symbolizing a remarkable investment of Rs. 5,600 crore.
The event was highlighted by the inauguration of four NH projects, spanning a total length of 219 kilometers and entailing an expenditure of Rs. 3,775 crore. One of the notable projects is the ambitious 6-laning endeavor, extending from the Kishangarh to Gulbapura section on National Highway 48, which aims to fortify the economic and social development of the Ajmer and Bhilwara districts. Emphasizing the importance of enhanced connectivity, this project sets the stage for progress and prosperity in the region.
Moreover, the ceremony witnessed the grand inauguration of a high-level bridge over the majestic Chambal River in Mandrayal, financed by the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF). This monumental bridge serves as a vital link between Mandrayal in Rajasthan and Sabalgarh in Madhya Pradesh, fostering seamless connectivity and facilitating the exchange of ideas, trade, and cultural richness between these two neighboring states.
In addition, the ceremony laid the foundation stone for seven ambitious projects, amounting to a cumulative cost of Rs. 1,850 crore, spanning a total length of 221 kilometers. Among these projects is the much-anticipated direct connectivity development from the revered religious site, Nathdwara, to Udaipur airport, providing pilgrims and travelers a convenient route. Another notable initiative is the construction of the Pratapgarh bypass, poised to alleviate traffic congestion within the city and enhance commuting efficiency. Furthermore, the road from Raas to Biaora will ensure smoother vehicular movement towards Bhilwara, promoting seamless transportation and trade.
The transformative efforts of these projects extend to the tribal areas of Dungarpur, Udaipur, and Banswara, significantly improving connectivity and opening doors to a brighter future. Moreover, the construction of bypasses in Sangwara and Garhi will reduce the distance between Dungarpur and Banswara by 10 kilometers, optimizing travel time and promoting regional integration. Recognizing the importance of preserving wildlife, the development plans also include the construction of thirteen animal underpasses within the Todgarh Wildlife Sanctuary on the Beawar-Gomti road, ensuring the safety and protection of precious wildlife species.
To further reinforce Rajasthan's infrastructure and connectivity, the event unveiled the approval of 74 projects under the Central Road Fund (CRF), amounting to an estimated cost of Rs. 2,250 crore. These future projects, poised to commence in the near future, are expected to bolster the state's economic growth and enhance its stature as a well-connected and progressive region.
