CHANDIGARH:  Union Road, Transport, and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari will mark a significant milestone on Tuesday by inaugurating 11 flyovers on the 8-lane national highway from Delhi to Panipat, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said on Tuesday.

These new developments aim to enhance connectivity and ease traffic congestion along this crucial stretch. In addition, major road development projects with a budget of Rs 3,700 crore will be announced, further demonstrating the government's commitment to improving infrastructure in the region.

The 11 flyovers form part of a larger 24-km long project that has been constructed with a budget of Rs 900 crore. By implementing these flyovers, the government aims to streamline traffic flow, minimize bottlenecks, and enhance road safety. These measures will not only benefit the residents of Haryana but also commuters from Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, who traverse the Delhi-Panipat corridor.

Nitin Gadkari will lay the foundation stone for the Karnal Green Field Six-Lane Ring Road project, located at Kutail village in Karnal district. This ambitious project spans a length of 35 km and carries an estimated cost of Rs 1,700 crore. The construction of this ring road will significantly enhance connectivity and facilitate smoother movement of vehicles, thereby reducing travel time and improving efficiency.

Another groundbreaking project, the Ambala Green Field Six Lane Ring Road, will also witness the foundation stone laying ceremony. This project, situated at Jandli village in Ambala district, stretches over a distance of 23 km and requires an investment of Rs 1,100 crore. The completion of this ring road will alleviate traffic congestion in both districts, offering a more convenient commuting experience for the local residents.

Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala emphasized the government's commitment to fortifying the road network and enhancing overall infrastructure.
