Mumbai: Ganesh Utsav, the birth anniversary of Ganpati Bappa, is celebrated with great fanfare every year in Maharashtra. However, this time Maharashtra is covered with corona, and due to this, there is less fanfare. Tell all of you that every year Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated as a public function during the time of Chhatrapati Shivaji (founder of Maratha Empire) during 1630-1680. At the time of Shivaji, this Ganeshotsav was regularly celebrated as the totem of his empire. In fact, after the end of the Peshwa, it remained a family celebration. It was revived in 1893 by Bal Gangadhar Lokmanya Tilak (an Indian freedom fighter and social reformer).

Lalbaugcha Raja?- Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai is the most popular in Maharashtra, where every year celebs come to see Bappa during Ganeshotsav. Let me tell you that this Ganesh Mandal located near Lalbagh police station in Lalbagh Bazar in Mumbai is very popular. In fact, since 1934, lakhs of devotees have come to visit the mythological statue managed by the Lalbagha King Public Ganeshotsav Mandal.
