Mumbai: Ganesh Chaturthi is being celebrated today in the midst of the shadow of the corona. In such a situation, the celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi in the Corona period is very difficult as there is no such fanfare in the Corona period every year. Ganesh Utsav will be celebrated across the country along with Maharashtra for the next 10 days. However, the celebrations this time are going to fade due to the increasing case of the corona. You all must be aware that corona infection is continuously increasing in many parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai. With this, the number of active cases in the state has now crossed 50,000.

Mumbai reported 457 new cases last Thursday and the highest number of cases was reported after seven weeks. In view of all this, the government has imposed a number of restrictions on Ganesh Utsav this time. Let me tell you all that Section 144 has been imposed during Ganesh Utsav between 10th September and 19th September in Mumbai. Meanwhile, no procession will be allowed in the city and devotees will not be allowed to go to Ganesh pandals.

Moreover, more than 10 people will not be present while bringing idols and carrying them for immersion in public pandals. At the same time, a maximum of five people will be present while bringing idols to the house and taking them for immersion. All the devotees will have to compulsorily wear masks and follow physical dispensing. No one is allowed to leave the house without wearing the same mask.
