NEW DELHI:  India is all set to celebrate the Ganesh Chaturthi on August 31. To make travelling easier for customers, the Indian Railway has announced many special trains as devotees prepare to fully celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi in 2022. These trains aim to control the significant increase of travellers during festival seasons.

In cooperation with Central Railway, Konkan Railway has planned to run three additional trains on Ganesh Chaturthi. On August 24, 2022, at 00:45 hrs, Train No. 01167 Lokmanya Tilak - Kudal Special (Weekly) will leave Lokmanya Tilak and arrive in Kudal at 11:00 hours. On August 25, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., Train No. 01168 Kudal - Lokmanya Tilak Special (Weekly) will leave Kudal and arrive at Lokmanya Tilak at 23:55 hrs. The train will stop at the following stations: Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sawada, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road.

On August 24, 2022, at 12:00 a.m., Train No. 01170 Kudal-Panvel Special (Weekly) will depart Kudal. The train will arrive in Panvel at 22:55 that same day. On August 25, 2022, at 00:10, Train No. 01169 Panvel - Kudal Special (Weekly) departs Panvel and arrives in Kudal at 09:00. The following stations will have a stop by the train: Sawarda, Chiplun, Khed, Mangaon & Roha, Ratnagiri, Vaibhavwadi Road, Rajapur Road, Sindhudurg, Kankavali, and Sangameshwar Road.

On August 25, 2022, at 16:55 hours, the Lokmanya Tilak - Sawantwadi Road Special (Weekly) train will leave Lokmanya Tilak and arrive at Sawantwadi Road at 05:00 hrs the following day. On August 26, 2022, at 04:40 hrs., Train 01172 Sawantwadi Road - Lokmanya Tilak Special (Weekly) will leave Sawantwadi Road and arrive at Lokmanya Tilak at 17:00 hrs.

Moreover, in light of the Ganesh Chaturthi holiday season, Konkon Railway has decided to operate a one-way special Train No. 07306 Yesvantpur - Vasco Express. On August 26, 2022, it will depart from Yesvantpur at 14.30 and arrive in Vasco Da Gama at 05:00.  Train will halt at Tumakaru, Arsikere Jn., Davangere, SMM Haveri, Hubbalii Jn., Dharwad, Londa Jn., Castle Rock, Kulem, Sanvordem Curchorem & Madgaon Jn.
