Pooja Material:-
Asanas, kalash, black soil, holika ash, dung or clay stems, horn yeast, pure ghee, lamp, pot, kumkum, akshat, fresh flowers, mango leaf, coconut, betel nut, water-filled urn, Gangaur clothes, wheat, bamboo basket, chunari, halwa, suhag goods, kauri, coins, ghewar, silver ring, pudi etc.

The entire method of Gangaur Vrat:-

* This fast is prepared about seven to eight days in advance. Under this, a married woman who wants to observe this fast should bathe in the Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha in the morning and sow the jowar in a wooden basket at a holy place in the house.
* From this day on, a fasting woman should eat only one meal.
* Worship Gauriji daily by law till Gauriji is immersed
* Offer sol makeup items to Mother Gauri.
* At the same time, offer them sandalwood, akshat, incense lamps, navedyadi.
* Gauriji is then offered bhog.
* Listen to or read the Story of Gangaur Vrat after bhog.
* After listening to the story, fill your demand with the vermilion mounted on Gauriji.
* While virgin women bow down to Gauriji and seek his blessings.
* Take Chaitra Shukla II (Sinjara) to gauriji to a river, pond or lake and bathe him.
* Bathe Gauri-Shiva on Chaitra Shukla Tritiya too
* Now put them in beautiful clothes and sit in buckets or cradles.
* On the same evening, women and men, dancing and singing from gaje-baje, should also immerse Gauri-Shiva in the river or pond as a programme or a procession.
* Then, open your fast.

Gangaur Vrat Katha:-
According to legend, Chaitra Shukla is believed to have once embarked on a tour with Mother Parvati and Shivaji Naradamuni on the third day. Because of this, they should reach a village. When the women of the village came to know about their arrival, they started preparing to welcome them. Where women from affluent families started preparing neither food nor fruits to welcome Mother Gauri-Shiva. So the poor women welcomed what they had become. But Mother Gauri was very happy to see her gesture. Mother Gauri saw the devotion of those women and blessed them as saubhagya rasa. Then, when the women of a prosperous family brought a variety of sweets and dishes, Mother Gauri had nothing to bless them. Mahadev arises from the question of giving them to the poor women. Then Mother Parvati gave her blessings to them with her blood splatters.
