New Delhi: Garuda Aerospace, a leading drone manufacturer backed by former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has achieved a significant milestone by securing its second Type Certificate from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for Medium Category Drones.

This latest accomplishment highlights Garuda Aerospace's steadfast commitment to driving innovations in UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) technology while maintaining stringent adherence to regulatory standards. The certification stands as a testament to the technological capabilities and reliability of Garuda Aerospace's medium-category drones, showcasing their full compliance with rigorous regulatory prerequisites.

Emphasizing their dedication to engineering excellence, rigorous safety measures, and upholding the highest industry benchmarks, Agnishwar Jayaprakash, Founder and CEO of Garuda Aerospace, expressed his satisfaction. "We are delighted to have received a second Type Certificate for our Medium Category Drones from DGCA. Earlier this month, Garuda Aerospace secured Rs 25 crore in bridge funding, marking a significant turning point in the company's growth trajectory. The funding, led by Venture Catalysts, a prominent incubator and early-stage investor, in collaboration with WeFounderCircle, attracted substantial contributions from investors such as Hems Angels, San Angels, Peaceful Progress Funds, and several esteemed angel investors.

Garuda Aerospace has recently reached noteworthy milestones, including a strategic partnership with IFFCO (Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited) for a substantial order of 400 drones. Moreover, the company has secured impressive pre-bookings of 10,000 drones from 700 dealers nationwide, showcasing its robust market presence and promising future prospects.
