New Zealand cricket has extended the tenure of coach Gary Stead for three years. On Wednesday, New Zealand cricket has extended the contract of coach Gary Stead for three years. Gary Stead is going to remain the head coach of the New Zealand cricket team until the ODI World Cup in 2023. Meanwhile, the T20 World Cup will be played in India in the year 2021 and in Australia in the year 2022.

Stead was appointed as coach for two years in place of Mike Hewson in the year 2018. New Zealand made its place in the World Cup final in the year 2019. There was a tie after the regular game and the super over, but after the boundary was counted, England was declared champions. Now Stead is going to be a coach for three years in New Zealand cricket. Because of Covid-19 pandemic, they have not played any matches for almost six months.

New Zealand played its last ODI against Australia on 13 March. No information has been revealed about the landing of the New Zealand cricket team. However, earlier there were reports that New Zealand Cricket had cancelled all their series till September. Now there are reports that New Zealand cricketers are going to be seen in the 13th season of the Indian Premier League, which will start in UAE from 19 September.
