BANGALORE: In a thrilling return to the 11th Leg of the Women's Pro Golf Tour, Neha Tripathi exudes confidence following her much-awaited triumph last week. Leading the pack of 39 players, she takes charge of the Rs. 12 lakh prize at the prestigious Bangalore Golf Club.

Having turned professional in 2010, the seasoned golfer, now 31 years old, endured a drought of more than four and a half years without a victory. However, she emerged triumphant by warding off a formidable challenge from a group of young players, some of whom were still amateurs.

Reflecting on her recent success, Neha remarked, "I always knew I was on the right path and performing well. But last week, everything fell into place. Winning brings immense satisfaction, and it's truly gratifying."

Tvesa Malik is another player seeking that sense of fulfillment after facing a couple of challenging seasons on the Ladies European Tour. According to the Women's Golf Association of India (WGAI), she only holds a limited status for this season.

Tvesa, who has primarily competed on the European Tour in recent years, last tasted victory on the WPGT in 2021. Now, she aims to regain her form through the Tour, which she joined back in 2017 at the age of 27.

Gaurika Bishnoi, who missed the last two events due to personal commitments, triumphed in her most recent outing, the eighth leg, and is back in action for the 11th Leg. Gaurika has been diligently working on improving certain aspects of her game, hoping to find her rhythm by the time the LET's Qualifying School arrives.

This season, Gaurika has secured two victories, triumphing at the sixth leg held at the Classic Golf and Country Club, as well as the eighth leg hosted by Clover Greens. She also finished as the runner-up at the fifth leg in Golden Greens and the seventh Leg at the DLF Golf and Country Club.

Among the contenders, Sneha Singh stands out as the sole player, besides Gaurika, to achieve multiple victories this season. Leading the Order of Merit, Sneha's successful campaign includes wins in the third leg at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club and the fifth leg at Golden Greens in Gurugram.
