New Delhi: The journey of the new team Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the IPL 2022 season has come to an end. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Lucknow by 14 runs in the eliminator match played on Wednesday. With this win, RCB has now reached the Qualifier-2. In Qualifier-2, Bengaluru will take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) on May 27. The winning team will face Gujarat Titans (GT) in the final on May 29. Lucknow team mentor Gautam Gambhir looked very disappointed with this defeat of the team.

After losing the match, Gautam Gambhir slammed LSG captain KL Rahul. After the match was over, Gautam Gambhir and Rahul were seen talking on the field. All this was captured on camera and its picture also went viral. Looking at this, it seems that Gautam and Rahul are having a very serious brainstorming. In this eliminator match against Bangalore, the Lucknow team made a lot of mistakes. There were many catches dropped in the fielding. The edge that should have been seen in the batting also, was not seen. A lot of dot balls were played. Gambhir discussed all these things with Rahul.

In the eliminator match, LSG captain KL Rahul won the toss and elected to bowl first. Batting first, RCB scored 207 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Rajat Patidar played a whirlwind knock of 112 off 54 balls, while Dinesh Karthik remained unbeaten on 37 off 23 balls. In reply, Lucknow's team could only score 193 runs for the loss of 6 wickets and lost the match by  14 runs. Skipper KL Rahul scored 79 off 58 balls, while Deepak Hooda scored 45 off 26 balls. Rajat Patidar was adjudged player of the match.
