Alwar: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has ordered a high-level administrative inquiry into the death of a tiger ST-16 in Sariska six days ago during trunking. Abhay Kumar, the Principal Governance Secretary of the Department of Cooperation, has been entrusted with the investigation. This has happened in the state before.

According to sources, Chief Minister Gehlot said in a tweet that the death of the tiger on 8th of June is serious. It has been ordered to investigate and fix the responsibility of reckless personnel and officers. The tiger was trunkized on June 8. The tiger died shortly thereafter. It is alleged that the tiger was given overdose to trunkise, which led to his death.

However, the Forest Department had said that the Mait heat was caused by the stroke. The investigating officer has also been asked to suggest assessment of security arrangements, management arrangements and improvement of various facilities in Sariska area.
