Pakur: A married man from Jharkhand's Pakur district allegedly married posing as an engineer and duping him of dowry money, police said on Sunday.   Not only this, when the young man could not succeed in his plans, he shamed humanity and demanded a dowry of Rs 5 lakh from the newly married woman and her family by making an obscene video of her own third newly married wife and threatening to make it viral. At the same time, when the wife refused to give money, the accused youth Javed Sheikh and other family members, including his parents, started assaulting her.

Within just 3 months of marriage, Javed Sheikh, who claims to be an engineer, was exposed. In fact, Javed Akhtar alias Javed Sheikh, son of Shahban Sheikh, a resident of Kanta Toli in Lower Bazar police station area of Ranchi, married the woman, a resident of Nagar police station area of Pakur district, three months ago on February 12, claiming to be an engineer and unmarried. As soon as the newly-wed reached her in-laws' house in Ranchi after marriage, she came to know from the locals of the neighborhood that she was the third wife of her husband Javed Akhtar. He is already married and had married two  women, he beat up both his wives and threw them out of his house for not giving money for dowry. After beating up the two wives and driving them out of the house, he married the woman, a resident of the city police station area of Pakur district, by posing as an unmarried and engineer by profession.

After the reality of the engineer husband came out, the woman started questioning her husband Javed Sheikh about the whole matter. Angry over being questioned by his wife, husband Javed Sheikh made an obscene video of his own wife and started demanding Rs 5 lakh as dowry. He threatened to make his newly married wife's obscene video viral on social media if she did not pay the money. Not only this, he also sent obscene videos to the mobile phones of close relatives of his newly married wife.

The accused brutally beat up the newly married woman in the afternoon for refusing to pay the dowry money and threw her out of the house and said that do not come here until you bring the money, otherwise I will make your obscene video viral on social media. An FIR has been lodged at Pakur Nagar police station against the accused husband Javed Sheikh, his father Shahban Shaikh and mother Hazra Biwi for making obscene videos and demanding Rs 5 lakh as dowry. As soon as the FIR was lodged in the police station, the police came into action and started investigating the case by arresting the named accused including the accused youth Javed Sheikh.
