Lucknow: In Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, a man named Shahid Hussain allegedly murdered his wife by stabbing her with scissors. The motive behind the crime is reported to be a dispute arising from the husband ordering fried chicken, which wasn't brought, leading to a subsequent argument. Shahid Hussain, employed as a tailor, has been arrested by the police, and the investigation is ongoing. The tragic incident occurred on Saturday, November 25, 2023.

Ghaziabad Police reported that the incident took place in the Loni police station area. Shahid, the 50-year-old son of Makdoom Hussain, resides near 100 Foot Road of Prem Nagar. Working as a tailor, Shahid operates from his home, where he has three sewing machines. His daughters assist him in his tailoring work. The dispute began when Shahid borrowed Rs 600 from his wife, Noor Bano, to purchase thread and other materials for his work. On that Saturday, Shahid received an order to stitch lower pajamas and, having taken an advance of Rs 2000, repaid the loan to his wife.

Later in the day, Shahid expressed a desire for chicken fry and requested money from Noor Bano. However, an argument ensued when she refused to provide the funds. Subsequently, Noor Bano herself ordered chicken fry, which the children declined to eat, leading to another altercation between Shahid and Noor Bano.

During the fight, Shahid admitted to police that there were verbal abuses exchanged, fueling his anger. In a fit of rage, he allegedly stabbed his wife in the neck with a pair of scissors. Shahid fled the scene when Noor Bano, injured and in pain, began writhing. Noor Bano's son rushed her to GTB Hospital in Delhi, but unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries. Shahid was located and apprehended by the police on November 25, and after necessary legal procedures, he was sent to jail.

According to media reports, the deceased's sons, Arsalan and Shahnawaz, accused their father of returning home drunk on the night of the incident. They also shared that their mother was greatly troubled by his drinking habit.
