Due to increasing number of corona cases in Hyderabad, State starts to take safety precautions. In this Queue, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has decided to administer Covid vaccine to its entire staff right from sanitary worker to the Commissioner. Let us share that Cases increases in Hyderabad and due to that Gandhi Hospital has once again started receiving a large number of critical Covid-19 cases from across the State. The average one-day inpatient admissions were close to 80 critical Covid-19 patients on Thursday, with the numbers expected to go up in the coming days.

This order issued by GHMC Commissioner, D.S. Lokesh Kumar . He has directed zonal commissioner to complete vaccination process for the staff by April 15. On Friday, he held a video conference with zonal commissioners and directed them to make arrangements to provide vaccination at respective urban health centres. Officials need to submit the details of those who have taken vaccine every single day. There are around 30,000 frontline workers in GHMC.

However, About corona patients in hospital the fact remains that 5 per cent of all Covid infections need critical care, which itself translates to a big number. If Covid infections continue to rise at the present rate, the hospital might soon have to do away with non-Covid services and once again, turn into a Covid-only facility, doctors pointed out.
