New Delhi: The demand for repeal of suspension of MPs suspended after agitation in the Upper House on the Agriculture Bill on Sunday, has started growing. Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad said on Tuesday demanded the suspension of the MPs. Along with this, Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Ram Gopal Yadav, Eastern PM and JDS leader HD Deve Gowda also demanded the suspension of the MPs.

Leader of the Opposition in the Upper House Ghulam Nabi Azad said on Tuesday that until the suspension of eight members of the Rajya Sabha is withdrawn from the remaining period of the monsoon session, the opposition will boycott the proceedings of the House. After the zero hour, Azad demanded in the Rajya Sabha that the government should bring a bill that would ensure that private companies do not buy farmers' grain at a price below the minimum support price (MSP) fixed by the government. He told the government that according to the Swaminathan formula, the government should keep fixing the minimum support price from time to time.

Azad said that it seems that there is a lack of inter-coordination of the government. A day before, the entire discussion on agricultural bills was focused on the MSP and a day after that the government announced the MSP for many crops. Eight members of the opposition, including Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Derek O'Brien and AAP MP Sanjay Singh, were suspended for the remainder of the monsoon session on Monday for indecent conduct in the House on Sunday.
