Patna: Union Minister Giriraj Singh has been enraged by stone-pelting on processions on the occasion of Ram Navami at several places in India. He said the attacks were contrary to the claims of the country's 'Ganga Jamuni Tehzeeb'. He also said in a warning manner that patience is now breaking down. The BJP leader said the country has never objected to the construction of new mosques after independence and the manifold increase in the population of Muslims, while a large number of temples were demolished in Pakistan, where Hindus are almost about to go extinct. At the same time, he warned that he was now losing patience.

While interacting with the media in North Bihar's Katihar district on Monday night, Union Minister Singh got angry over the statement of AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi. He took a dig at Owaisi and secular politicians with "Jinnah's DNA" remark that Hindus should avoid going to Muslim-dominated areas to avoid communalism while taking out religious processions.

Giriraj Singh asked that if not in this country, where will Ram Navami processions be taken out? In Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan? Had there been an attack on processions of any other religion, Rahul Gandhi and ailing RJD president Lalu Prasad would have taken to the streets for their political tourism. Giriraj Singh is always in the news for his sharp statements. In Bihar, Begusarai MP Giriraj Singh has expressed strong displeasure over the attack on police officers in Hubli in Karnataka and communal violence in Delhi's Jahangirpuri. He said he was shocked by the incident in Gorakhpur, where an IIT graduate tried to break into the Gorakhdham Peeth, a religious institution led by UP CM Yogi Adityanath and attacked security personnel before being arrested. The boy has been booked under the UAPA Act.
