Patna: Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Monday said India is not in a crisis with the growing Muslim population over the attack on the Gorakhnath temple. He said the real threat to the country is from the militant mentality that was behind the attack on security personnel at Gorak Nath temple. He also attacked the opposition for remaining silent on the issue.

Let us know that a man named Murtaza had attacked two PAC constables with a sharp weapon at the southern gate of Gorak Nath temple in Gorakhpur, UP. CM Yogi Adityanath is the chief mahant of this temple. The attacker had also tried to enter the temple by shouting 'Allahu Akbar' slogans.

Talking to reporters outside the same Parliament House, Singh said the growing Muslim population is not a crisis. The real threat is the militant mentality which can take many forms. Sometimes it is seen in the form of enforcing Sharia law, sometimes in the demonstrations related to hijab. Sometimes it protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act. He said that sometimes this mentality is seen in such a way that an educated person does terrorist acts. The culprit arrested in the incident is a pass out of ITI. Speaking on the opposition, Singh said that the biggest threat to the country is that the people who share the knowledge of communalism at all times remain silent on this issue.
