Washington: In this list of Global Terror Index, how many deaths or how many people were injured in terrorism-affected countries have been evaluated. India has got the seventh place in this list. This report has been published in 2019 and is showing the figures for 2018. In 2018, 748 people have died in terrorist attacks in India. Apart from India, most Asian countries are on this list.

Afghanistan has overtaken Iraq in the first place in this list. Iraq has moved to second place. The number of people killed in terrorist incidents in Afghanistan is 7379 while in Iraq this figure is 1054. The problem with India is that in Jammu and Kashmir alone this number is more than half. Terrorist incidents in 2018, however, have decreased throughout the world. In India, these incidents have reduced slightly.

There have been around 15,952 deaths in the whole world from the terrorist attack last year. This figure may be said to be lower than the previous year, but still this number is not satisfactory in any way. According to the Global Terror Index of these incidents, there has been a decrease of 15.2 percent in terrorist attacks in 2018 as compared to 2017.
