Even before the vote-counting in Goa, the situation has heated up. According to media reports, even before the counting of votes began, the Congress in Goa has sought time to meet the governor. The trends of the recent assembly elections in Goa have started coming in. In this election, while Congress is claiming that the voters have voted for change, the BJP has full hope that the voters have blessed them once again. Goa CM Pramod Sawant seems to be fully confident about the party's victory.

Polling for 40 assembly seats in Goa was held on February 14. After the last assembly elections in Goa, the Congress had emerged as the single largest party, but the BJP managed to form the government in alliance with some local parties. Today, after the people's mandate, the picture of the state will become clear whether the BJP can return to power or not.
