Panaji: Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has now shifted her focus to Goa after registering a landslide victory in the West Bengal assembly elections. Mamata Banerjee is on a visit to Goa these days. She held a meeting with media editors in Goa on Monday and discussed the expansion of her party in Goa, as well as the situation in Goa.

Meanwhile, TMC has now dealt a blow to the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) amid CM Mamata Banerjee's visit to Goa. Benaulim's MLA and NCP leader Churchill Alemao has written to the assembly speaker appealing for a merger with the TMC. Mamata Banerjee has now started focusing on the Goa assembly elections in 2022. Earlier, former Goa CM and Congress leader Luizinho Falerio had already suppressed the TMC. Noted tennis player Leander Paes along with famous actress Nafisa Ali and Goa entrepreneur Mrinalini Deshprabhu have also joined the TMC. Thus TMC is expanding its family by breaking the second party in a row.

In a letter to the Assembly Speaker, Benaulim MLA and NCP leader Churchill Alemao in Goa said that the legislative group of NCP in Goa has been dissolved and the TMC has been merged. He has urged the Speaker to allow him a seat in the Assembly as AITC MLA. Mamata Banerjee is going to Mumbai and meeting NCP chief Sharad Pawar, while on the other hand, she is wooing her party leaders in Goa, it is clear that Didi wants to set foot in the Centre's politics at any cost, No matter what she have to do.
