Good news for Big B fans, Amitabh Bachchan discharged from Hospital

New Delhi [India], Feb 10: Big B aka Amitabh Bachchan, who was briefly admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on Friday, was the same day discharged and his son, Abhishek Bachchan, with the leave being spotted. Mr Bachchan admitted in Lilavati after he complained of pain in his lower back, reports news agency. "Mr Bachchan came for a routine check-up and went home," Ravishankar, CEO of the Lilavati Hospital. Later, he posted a poem on his blog recollecting his hospital visit and his trial with the paparazzi outside the hospital apparently, Mr Bachchan was stunned by the shutterbugs clicking the pictures.

“He was admitted at around 6.30pm and is under the care of noted gastroenterologist Dr Jayant Barve,” said officials from the hospital. Bachchan had apparently visited the hospital for a routine check-up but since they had to administer an intravenous injection he was advised to be admitted.  

Amitabh Bachchan, 75, is likely to undergo endoscopy before being discharged from the hospital. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan was admitted to Lilavati Hospital Bandra on Friday. Doctors said the cause of his admission was gastrointestinal complications, but it was routine of nature. He will be seen next in "102 Not Out", which also starring Rishi Kapoor. The teaser of the film, directed by Umesh Shukla, was released yesterday on Twitter.
