Bhopal: A cabinet meeting in the ministry was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of CM Kamal Nath in Madhya Pradesh, in which several important decisions were taken in the interest of the state. In this meeting, the Council of Ministers have approved the proposal to give seventh pay scale to teachers of medical colleges.

With this, more than a dozen proposals were approved in the meeting. This information was given by the Public Relations Minister PC Sharma while talking to the press on Thursday after the meeting.

The Public Relations Minister said that the medical college teachers had been demanding the seventh pay scale for a long time. In view of this, the Cabinet has approved the proposal to give the benefit of seventh pay scale to the Medical Teachers of Higher Education Department based on UGC rules. This is expected to put an additional burden of Rs 78 crore on the government exchequer. In this meeting, the government has made changes in the provision of land for eligibility for upper caste reservation.

Public Relations Minister further informed that reservation of up to 10 percent will be given to candidates belonging to economically weaker sections in educational institutions and jobs in the state. In addition, a proposal to extend the tender of 100 dials by 2020 has been approved.

Tenders will be renewed after this period. This facility will also be expanded. Along with this, the cabinet has also approved the Safe City program in six cities of the state. Under this, campaigns will be run for the safety of women and girls.
