Patna: Central employees may get gifts before Holi. In fact, the government may announce an increase in the dearness allowance (DA) of central government employees in the month of March itself. In such a situation, the salary of the employees is sure to be increased. More than 1 crore central employees and pensioners will get the benefit. 

Let us tell you that dearness allowance is to be announced for January 2022. The Da Hike will be increased by 3 per cent. In such a situation, it can be sealed on March 16. According to the Labour Ministry, in December 2021, the number of All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (AI CPI-IW) reached 125.4. This is a 3% increase in employees' DA. This will increase from 31 per cent to 34 per cent DA. Employees can be paid in March itself.

On this, JCM Secretary Shiv Gopal Mishra said that the central employees should have a fall in proportion to the inflation. The government has not yet clarified the situation regarding the arrears. In such a situation, if 3 per cent DA is announced, then it is definitely a matter of relief. If the basic salary of an employee is 30 thousand rupees a month, then his salary will increase by 900 rupees per month. On a yearly basis, their gross salary will directly increase by Rs 10,800. The salary of cabinet secretary-level officers will be increased by Rs 7,500 per month. 

Now the retirement age of government employees will be 62 years!
