New Delhi: The operation of trains, which was stopped by the Railways in the corona pandemic, is being resumed. The Indian Railways has issued an order regarding re-running of passenger and mail express trains. Railways have ordered the resumption of about 500 closed passenger trains. At the same time, about 100 mail express trains will also start running on the tracks soon.

Before the Corona period, about 2800 passenger trains used to run on the railway track, now 2300 passenger trains are running. In addition, 1770 mail express trains are currently running. More than 1900 mail express trains will start running in a week. All the closed trains will be operational within a week.  

This order of the same railways will bring great relief to the local passengers. Let me tell you, in the year 2020, due to Corona, a lockdown was imposed across the country. Thereafter, all the trains were stopped. But now the Railways are restarting the operation of the closed trains. In view of the need and demand after Corona, phase-wise trains were introduced. Northern Railway has decided to run 90 unreserved mail and express trains. These trains will be started between August 1 and August 10. It is worth mentioning that many trains were closed during corona. At the same time, mail express fare was also being charged in ordinary passenger trains to reduce the rush of passengers. In the new order, the passengers are ordered to charge the fare of the old passenger general category only.
